Latter-day Prophet Gordon B. Hinckley passed away at his home Sunday evening with his family at his side. He has gone on to be with his dear wife, Marjorie.
President Hinckley was the 15th president in the 177-year history of the Church and served as president since 12 March 1995.
He will be sorely missed. He truly is a man of God, a prophet of God.

SUSHI
So, yesterday, I experienced something new. Something that, I know, many of you are big fans of. I ate SUSHI! This was a pretty big deal, considering my eating habits. It is not that I am afraid to try new things, I just know what I like. I find myself sticking with the familiar, rather than venturing out into the unknown. Yeah, it is pretty bad. When I go out to eat, once I hear where we are going, I already know what I am going to order, without looking at the menu. For the most part I order the same thing every time. However, I do, every now and then, change it up, when I am feeling adventurous.
Anyway, a friend from my ward, Jesikaa, who is from Korea, invited me over for dinner. She is just about to finish up culinary art school and she made an amazing meal, which, of course, featured sushi. Anyway, it was a lot of fun and very tasty. Now, I can add something new to my familiar food list, because, I will definitely eat it again.

23-20
Well, it was a sad Sunday evening yesterday in Green Bay, Wisconsin. A loss for the Packers, in overtime, to the New York Giants. Taking away their Superbowl dream. As a Packer fan, it was disappointing. But, I know I was not as greatly affected by the loss as the many die-hard Wisconsin fans, three of which are very good friends of mine. My Green Bay Football fanship is not any where near their level of dedication. Sorry guys!!!
I cheered the Packers on yesterday. Now, on Feb. 3 I will be cheering for the very team that eliminated them from the SuperBowl game. Only because I like to cheer for the underdog in big games like that. So, I am very sad for the Green Bay loss. But, until next football season, I am saying, GO GIANTS!

"O"
It has been a few weeks ago now, but on January 5th I had the great opportunity of going to see the Cirque Du Soleil show "O" at the Bellagio. Posted by Jess at 11:17 0 comments

IT'S TIME
So, skydiving is something I have been thinking about doing for a very long time
. I held off for awhile - knowing that my parents (well, just my dad really) don't approve of my thrill seeking desire.
But, the time has come, I am going to take the jump. I am going to see things that are unseen by most. I thought this would be the perfect birthday gift to myself. Seriously, what more could a girl want than some skydiving adventure.
I am ready. I just don't know if the weather is right for such an adventure. Because I have never done anything like this before, I don't know what to expect. It's OK though, I have time to figure it out. And, I'll let you know how it goes. Ready or not!? No, there is no NOT, I am totally READY!!!
